It is about time I get to finishing up introducing the animals! Now it is time for the cats...
This is Baby. She was 2yrs old when we adopted her from our local shelter. Her name was originally Cry Baby and I couldn't figure out why anyone would want to name a cat Cry Baby. Well... I figured out soon enough why they did, she always is crying 24/7! She is sooo loud! But is a huge love bug and likes to kneed you like dough and drool all over you while she is doing so. She is now 4 years old, going on 5.
This is Jasmine, we got her about 2 years ago as a kitten, she is turning 2 this year. We got her from a lady who rescued a batch of kittens out of an alley. She is beautiful and sometimes is very, very pissy. She likes to sneak up and attack Winston (moms yorkie) or the other cats, just to tick them off. She also will only love you on her own terms and time.
This is Henry Lee. He is about 6-7 months old. We rescued him out in our front yard when this bad winter set in. We tried getting him and his mama so they didn't freeze when we had a bad storm come through and all we could get is him, his mama took off. He is the biggest weirdo I have ever met! He is a dog, not a cat! He loves moms puppy Winston, they are best friends and are always playing. Henry likes eating all the foods we eat, he really likes sharing dads chocolate ice cream at night time and loves shoulder rides. :)
Welcome!

Cage Cleaning
Tonight it was time for a cage cleaning. It sure does take a lot of time to clean these beasts of cages. But I couldn't have found a better cage.
Cleaning cages really takes a toll on me, haha. The ratties get all excited and hyper though. Monroe & Isabelle have a tissue box they have had forever and love. So I always make sure to put the ratty thing back in there.

A Night with Suzie
Last night I decided Suzie should get some extra lovin' time. I took her into my parents bedroom and my mom and I sat on the bed with her running around. My mom has a box of wheat thins in her room that are just for the rats so she put those up on the bed and Suzie grabbed a few and started munchin' away.
Suzie and Bae have been getting at each other at night time lately. They chase each other around and get into big scuffles. Last night they decided to full blown box with each other and in the midst of all of this Suzie is now missing a big chunk of hair out of the side of her. Bae loves his girls but when he has had enough he has had enough, haha. Here is a picture showing the tuff of hair gone.

Neutered - Henry Lee
Our kitten we rescued in November finally went in for his neuter on Monday the 28th. I was super nervous as always but he made it out just fine. This is out first male cat, the other cat I owned growing up was a female and the 2 we currently have with Henry are females as well.
I can now defiantly agree that neuters are SO much easier on cats and so much easier to heal then a spay is! He is doing great today - his normal self, rolling around with Winston and attacking everything. His two, very tiny incisions look amazing also. No redness and the swelling is almost completely gone.
When we first brought him home he was still so groggy that he could barely walk. He was stumbling all over the place and when he would try to jump up on my bed (which is maybe a foot off the floor) he kept falling down. But man was he extra lovey! He wanted nothing but for you to scratch him and all over his body. It makes me wonder if the anastasia made him a bit itchy. But he was sure a love bug last night.
He finally ended his night passing out on top of the rats cage. Suzie likes to attack him when he sleeps up there though - and I new he wasn't in the mood or the shape to try and be dodging her last night so I decided to put his cat bed up on top of the cage so there would be no biting from Suzie and he could get some much needed rest. He ended up passing out and hard... with his face smashed right into the rat cage - it was very cute actually. Suzie actually left him alone after that, it was like she new he was hurting, haha.

I woke up this morning to find him still in the same spot, fast asleep. The hyper energetic kitty was no longer though - I think the pain started to settle in. When I got home this evening from school he was still up in the same spot, I don't think he moved at all really. Just looking like he was sore and wasn't fast at moving at all. He finally ended up getting down for some dinner and played a bit with Winston. But kept stretching out and trying to sleep some more.
But I defiantly have to agree that neuters are so much easier and quicker then spays are! I wish they could be that easy for both females and males!
Happy Birthday Roe and Izzy!
Monroe and Isabelle had their birthdays this weekend. It was lots of fun, they got tons of new toys - chew kabob, spring toys, hang n' bed, and some cat ball toys. They also got birthday hammocks and some hoodies (that they wont wear!) haha. They also got some little cupcakes I had made. Here is some photo's from the night, Bae, Mika and Suzie joined in too.
Here is a picture of their cage all decked out in their Birthday hammocks & toys.
